The Old Hymerian Lodge
No. 6885 in the Province of Yorkshire North and East Ridings
On Saturday, 5th November, 1949, the Old Hymerian Lodge No. 6885 was consecrated by the Most Hon The Marquess of Zetland, KG, GCSI, GCIE, PC, Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master (Yorkshire, North and East Ridings.)
The Lodge was formed as a result of the enthusiasm of the Headmaster of the school at the time, William Victor Cavill.
There is no prerequisite that you have any affiliation with the school anymore to join us or even to visit us, we would love to welcome you at our next meeting.
We meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month from October to June.
What Are Freemasons
We are a unique members’ organisation that has thrived for over 300 years. Having no political or religious affiliations, we comprise members of all ages, races, religions, cultures and backgrounds.
We meet in our individual Lodges throughout the country where we have ceremonial traditions which encourage us both to be more tolerant and respectful and actively to fulfil our civic and charitable responsibilities; we also make time to eat, drink and meet together, and form lifelong friendships.

The United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE), the home of Freemasonry in England, Wales, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and a number of Districts overseas.
Provincial Grand Lodge of Yorkshire North & East Ridings
The Province of Yorkshire, North and East Riding is one of the 47 into which the Freemasonry of England and Wales.
Masonic Charitable Foundation
The Masonic Charitable Foundation is the national charity of Freemasonry under the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE).
Freemasons Charity Yorkshire North and East Ridings
The Charity has recently been formed to replace the Provincial Grand Charity of the Freemasons of Yorkshire North and East Ridings.
